The dv7t Quad Edition is suitable for just about any task you can throw at it. Though it is one of the more costly HP Pavilion models on the market today – $1,400 – the HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition is certainly worth it.
I7 Power
The new quad-core Intel Core i7 powers the HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition and it shows. This machine is lighting fast and capable of taking on the most power-intensive software packages and the latest computer games. With up to 8GB of RAM, all coordinated by the new Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system, you’ll rarely have to wait on an hourglass icon again. As if the processing capability wasn’t enough, the dv7t Quad Edition also comes with up to a 1TB hard drive – that’s right, one terabyte. That’s more than enough space to store your favorite music, movies, software and much more.
The 17.3-inch LED-backlit display makes the most of videos and games. When combined with the Nvidia GeForce GT 230M, the display outputs stunning sharpness and clarity, and offers truly spectacular color ranges, letting you see even the most subtle hue changes. The keyboard is full-sized and features a full right-side number pad for easy data entry and game playing. The touchpad is large and covered with a slick glossy silver finish and features large buttons for easy navigation.
Blazing Connection
Keep contact with the rest of the easily world with the HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition. There are both Gigabit Ethernet and Intel WiFi cards integrated into the machine for easy connection and there is even a wireless broadband card installed, which, after completing the required service subscription, will provide a blazing connection anywhere there’s a cell phone signal. For face-to-face fun, there’s an integrated webcam which allows you to stay close to even the most distant friend.
Considering the size of the HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition, it should come as no surprise that there are plenty of available ports for peripherals and added connectivity. Four USB ports, FireWire, multimedia card readers, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI and VGA are just some of the available ports on the machine. There’s also optional Bluetooth for wireless peripherals and an optional HDTV hybrid tuner for watching television on your laptop. For accessing and recording media there’s an integrated DVD-R/BluRay optical drive.
One Massive Battery
With a machine that draws as much power as the dv7t, it should also come as no surprise that there’s one massive battery. The eight-cell Lithium Ion battery that comes standard with the HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition is capable of going for almost four hours on a single charge, which is impressive considering all that you could do with the dv7t.
Glossy on all surfaces, the HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition features very smooth lines and subtle curves that make you just want to reach out and touch it. On the outside cover you’ll find a glossy black coat with inlaid geometric patterns while on the inside you’re greeted by a semi-gloss, smooth silver keyboard, touchpad and palm rests. The machine has a relatively solid feel, and, while it is essentially a desktop replacement machine, is surely capable of rigorous travel.
