HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition | Portable Speed & Power
Intel’s second-generation iCore processors lie at the heart of the updated HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition. The new “Sandy Bridge” processors boast much improved performance, a 12EU graphics processing unit, and more efficient operation for longer battery life.
The base model of the Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition – if you want to call it “base” – comes with Intel’s Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor, which has an operating speed of 2.0GHz, but which can achieve speed bursts as high as 2.9GHz with the patented Turbo Boost technology. It also features 4GB of RAM, so you can get the most out of your many applications.
If you want the best that the Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition has to offer, then you’ll want to go with the Intel Core i7-2820QM and the maximum 8GB of RAM, which together can provide bursts of speed up to 3.4GHz.
HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition | Immersive Entertainment
The HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition is more than powerful enough to use in a work setting, but where it really shines is in the way it helps you immerse yourself in entertainment.
The 15.6-inch high-definition LED display is crisp, clear, and is even available in a multi-touch version for hands-on navigation. The display is powered by one of two available graphics cards: the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000, which – thanks to improvements made with the “Sandy Bridge” renovation – provides surprising handling of complex graphics and video. However, if you’re looking for extreme gaming, you’ll want to opt for the 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon graphics card.
No entertainment machine would be complete without the entertainment itself. That’s why the HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition comes with either a DVD-R or DVD-R/Blu-ray drive. There are also hard drives available in 640GB or 1TB versions. There is even an optional 160GB solid-state drive for ultimate performance.
Topping out the entertainment experience is a set of high-end Altec Lansing speakers powered by a Dolby Digital audio card.
HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition | Extra Features & Design
Replete with ports, the HP Pavilion DV6t comes with everything you’ll need to connect peripherals and stay connected, including: four USB ports; a 5-in-1 media card reader; Ethernet port; VGA and HDMI display ports; an integrated webcam; and an optional fingerprint reader.
One of the nicest features of the updated HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition is the fact that it maintained the best aspect of the previous version: the futuristic brushed aluminum case, which combines the stunning eye-catching appeal of design-heavy laptops with the durability and strength of strictly utilitarian designs.

HP Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition | Genuine Performance – Ingenious Design
HP bills the Pavilion DV6t Quad Edition as a business laptop, for which it can certainly be used, but we believe that this machine really shines in the degree to which it provides video and audio. Whatever your need, this portable 15-inch machine is a steal at $899. There just aren’t many manufacturers that put these processor configurations in similarly priced machines.
